1. Who we are
Caduno is run by Marina Ukalovic, a sole trader (ABN 60 945 088 336), trading as Caduno, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Contact: hello@cadunoapp.com.
2. The laws we follow
- the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), which covers commercial emails and text messages
- the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including Australian Privacy Principle 7 (direct marketing)
- the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth), if we ever make marketing calls. We don't make marketing calls at the moment
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) enforces the Spam Act.
3. What we send
| Type of message | What it covers | How often |
|---|---|---|
| Waitlist emails | Confirming your place, Launch dates and areas, your early access invitation, any early access offer you may qualify for, and important changes to our Waitlist Terms or Privacy Policy | Only when there's something to tell you about your place or Launch |
| News, surveys and testing (only if you opt in) | Caduno news and product updates, surveys, and invitations to interviews or testing | Up to a few times a month at most |
| Text messages (only if you opt in and give us your mobile number) | Short launch updates | Rarely. We are not sending text messages yet |
We don't send messages about other businesses' products, and we never let another business send messages to you through our list.
4. How we get your consent
We rely on your express consent, which you give on the waitlist form at cadunoapp.com/join:
- Waitlist emails: a separate box, which you need to tick to join, because the Waitlist works by email.
- News, surveys and testing: a separate optional box.
- Text messages: a separate optional box, which only counts if you also give us your mobile number.
None of these boxes are ticked for you. Your consent to messages is separate from agreeing to our Waitlist Terms, and the box wording tells you what you're agreeing to receive and that you can unsubscribe at any time.
You can change your mind at any time (see section 6). If you'd like to start getting news or texts after you've joined, email hello@cadunoapp.com.
5. How you know a message is from us
Every email and text message we send:
- names Caduno as the sender
- includes our contact details (hello@cadunoapp.com) and our ABN in emails
- explains why you're getting it, for example "You're receiving this because you joined the Caduno waitlist at cadunoapp.com"
Emails come from an address at cadunoapp.com. Text messages start with "Caduno:". If you get a message claiming to be from Caduno that doesn't match this, please tell us.
6. How to unsubscribe
You can unsubscribe at any time, free of charge, in any of these ways:
- Email: click Unsubscribe at the bottom of any email. It works in one click: you don't need to log in, reply or give us any more information. Most email apps also show an Unsubscribe button next to our name, which works the same way.
- Text message: reply STOP.
- Ask us: email hello@cadunoapp.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line, from the address you want to unsubscribe.
Unsubscribe links keep working for at least 30 days after we send each message, and in practice for as long as your record exists.
7. What happens when you unsubscribe
- We act on it straight away, and always within 5 working days. Online unsubscribes take effect instantly.
- Unsubscribing from any email stops all emails and text messages from us about the Waitlist, early access and Launch.
- You stay on the Waitlist unless you ask us to remove you, but we won't be able to send you your early access invitation or any offer. You can rejoin our emails at any time by emailing us.
- If you ask us to delete your information, we keep only a scrambled ("hashed") copy of your email address on a do-not-contact list, so we don't contact you again by mistake. It can't be turned back into your email address.
We never ask you to confirm or re-subscribe after you unsubscribe.
8. Messages we may send after you unsubscribe
We may still send you a message if the law requires it, for example to tell you about a data breach that affects you. These messages won't include any marketing.
9. Inviting other people
If you share your Caduno invite link or code, you send it yourself, for example in person, on social media or in your own messages. Please only share it with people who would expect to hear from you.
We never email or text the people you invite. We only contact someone after they join the Waitlist themselves and agree to hear from us.
10. Records we keep
For every person on the Waitlist we keep a record of:
- the wording of each box they ticked and the version of our documents it referred to
- when they gave each consent, and that it was given on the waitlist form at cadunoapp.com/join
- when they unsubscribed, if they did
We keep these records for as long as we hold your Waitlist record, and then for up to 2 years so we can show we respected your choices (see our Privacy Policy).
11. Questions and complaints
Email hello@cadunoapp.com. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (acma.gov.au) about spam, or to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) about privacy.
